The Connectivity Standards Alliance has released Matter 2.0, adding support for robot vacuums, EV chargers, and smart appliances. This update finally delivers on the promise of a truly unified smart home where devices from Apple, Google, and Amazon work together seamlessly.

The update also includes energy management features, allowing your home to automatically optimize power usage based on grid pricing.
