Meta shuts down 'Horizon Workrooms' VR app

Meta is officially pulling the plug on Horizon Workrooms, its flagship VR collaboration app for the Quest headset. The company cited low engagement and a strategic pivot towards mixed-reality productivity tools that don't require full immersion.

While Workrooms is going away, Meta promises the technology will live on in upcoming integrations with Microsoft Teams and Zoom for the Quest 4 headset.
